About the Speaker's Registry

The AIA is enlisting the support of the Knowledge Community Advisory Groups to help launch a Speakers Registry.

The goal of this initiative is two-fold: To respond to increasing requests for architects who are knowledgeable and effective speakers, and to give key decision makers who have a role in shaping the built environment access to the expertise of KC members.

KC members who would like to be considered for speaking roles are invited to add their names to the site, including contact information and their area of expertise. The term will be for one year, with an option to renew.

The AIA will publicize this resource and manage the list, noting that the list is presented as a service, not an endorsement, and that the speaker is not to be considered a spokesperson for the AIA. Negotiations will be carried out directly between the organization requesting the speaker and the speaker.

To ensure a measure of quality control, there is a feedback option. Also, we will ask the AGs to periodically scan the list of speakers and recommend to the National Component KC members known by their peers to be effective presenters.
