Maureen Merrill, a former elected city council member, is an experienced communication consultant and a partner in Harris Merrill Communication Consulting. Most of her clients are executives and organizational leaders who wish to communicate more effectively in public, to their boards, and with teams.
As a leader in Rotary International for more than two decades, Maureen has led sessions on motivation, speaking, memberhsip development and leadership communication at various levels of Rotary leadership. Now a designated District Governor for the 45 Rotary Clubs of California’s six north coast counties, she is a leader of Rotary's Vision Facilitation Team, and a Faculty Member for two national leadership training programs. Maureen is also a graduate of Leadeship Santa Rosa, past Chamber of Commerce director, past Sonoma County Transportation Authority member, among other past and present civic leadership positions.
Maureen has also published a community newspaper and co-hosted a cable interview program. She holds a B.A. in Government from Sacramento State University and an M.A. in Psychology from San Francisco State University, and has completed many professional development courses, including qualification as a Myers-Briggs Temperament Index practitioner.
