Mr. Rubel is a Principal at Anshen + Allen Architects and has over 18 years of experience on large and small scale healthcare projects. He was the 2007 President of the AIA San Francisco Chapter and is a Board member of the AIA California Council. His leadership in AIA programming around the development and importance of Integrated Project Delivery, IPD, was recognized nationally with a 2008 component excellence award. Mr. Rubel has spoken throughout California and nationally on IPD, Building Information Modeling implementation, sustainability for healthcare and Operating Room Design and Construction. He is one of the authors of the AIA IPD Guide. Mr. Rubel is the Chair of the 2008 California Practice Conference. His vision on the 2009 AIA San Francisco Convention Planning Committee led to the realization of the first collaborative agreement between a component and National.

Mr. Rubel is leading the IPD efforts at Anshen+Allen Architect's with the University of California San Francisco Mission Bay Hospital being delivered in an IPD model. In addition to these responsibilities, he is the Principal-In-Charge of the Kaiser Santa Clara Medical Center Replacement, Laguna Honda Replacement Hospital and two smaller Medical Office Buildings all in the Bay Area of California.
